Showing that he is equal to his all-star teammate in the backfield, Geoff Clubine gave the Hurricanes defense fits all game long in the Beefeaters’ statement win over Hamilton. Clubine blasted his way to 216 yards on only 11 carries and 2 touchdowns. His longest carry being an 89 yard rushing touchdown early in the game that opened the flood gates.

Turning in his most impressive performance of the season, Matt Smith was making plays all over the field as he totaled 9 tackles (6 solo) including 2 tackles for loss. Smith also had 1 sack and knocked down a pass for 20 defensive points as he led the Beefeaters defense in stifling the Hamilton offense.

Playing in the car wash known as Acumen Stadium, Preston Knight proved clutch for the Saints. In a tight game where neither defense gave up much special teams proved to be the difference and Knight delivered a perfect performance as he connected on all 5 of his field goal attempts and both converts in the driving wind and rain accounting for 17 of the Saints 29 points.
